You’re a record producer, and a record label wants you to record one of their artists; the label has given you the agreement, and you need to know what you can negotiate and what the terms mean. This workshop will examine a Producer’s Agreement clause by clause. You’ll learn what each clause means for the producer, artist, and label, how to negotiate the clauses, and about standard concepts, terms, and deals. We’ll also cover the concept of recoupment from the producer’s perspective.
